Hello to all my readers! Hurray for my 2nd post for this newly created blog.
So it is already 2014 and we are only 6 years behind the bandied Wawasan 2020. Will it ever come true? We shall see.
Let's us put aside our national aspiration a while and get straight to our topic. What I'll be telling you guys especially my juniors which are the 95 batch (and below) is what I've seen through my eyes on what will happen for the upcoming years of our education system or what we should say 'Your Future'.
So basically for myself as a fully-boarding school student, we are aiming for the overseas universities to complete our degree - find a good job - have a family - tell our childen the same story how to live the life again.
*The cycle is not fully elaborated though.*
And that is the basic cycle you guys should know by now. At least.
If you're rich enough then your parents money will push you to study overseas by your own but for me myself I've struggled enough to fight all the odds and finally get a chance to set my foot on the foreign soil on my own and today I am telling you that SPM result is not everything BUT SPM result will be the primary factor on defining what kind of student you were for the past years.
- Are you a student that take seriously the responsibility to study at your finest for your SPM?
- Are you good enough for the Corporate to spend their money on you for your studies?
- Are you a potential candidates that someday will contribute back to the society after what they had given you?
These are the main factors that will differentiate you and others for the scholarships.
But however, there also many factors that we have overlooked all these years - which are your SOFT SKILLS.
- How confident are you in presenting your ideas?
- How excellent are you in critical thinking?
- How smart are you in your personal apparel? (appearance)
These are also the other factors that you should focus on if you are to obtain the scholarships. This shows that nowadays the Corporate, they are not just looking for an excellent student who did well in the SPM but also a well-balanced, outspoken, wise in leadership candidates for them to spend their money on you.
I hope this will give you a crystal clear briefing on what are you going to face after this.
Be prepared!
P/S: Stay tune for my next article which is also will be related to this topic.
